me llamó particularmente la atención lo siguiente: " las redes sociales no son el oasis que se esperaba: cuesta mucho “monetizarlas”. Esto es: hacer dinero con ellas."

creo que justamente ahí está el problema... en esperar ganancias económicas de ello.

Here is a good link to what you are raising Eduardo. In social media we say "markets are conversations" and yet the loudest voice is money. Why?

A cool report revealing a bit more to me about the metacurrency and open-money concepts I´m still trying to understand and get into.

I think, anyway, that the main problem is still based on the essence of our occidental culture where we are teach on the logic of competition and profit, more than mutual help and dignity.

Values are not that easy to change or at least make them understandable by most humans... it´s a big challenge.

I am also just at the beginning of learning about and understanding open-money concepts.

I agree with you about the current social/economic culture. Competition with eachother and monetary profit seem to drive humanity to be more separated and isolated. Caring about others, sharing, openness and kindness are looked upon as weakness in that paradigm, yet these are the things that will make humanity stronger and better participants in the global system we call home.

As technology allows us to connect, we have a choice to actively and consciously take the risks associated with exposing our inner selves and thus share and trade on the true value of what we have to offer to the world.

I am too in the elementary stages of discovering the wonders of free currencies. It was explained to me by an individual who may have not fully known what they were talking about a year or so ago. Thankfully I found the Metacurrency site that enabled me to conduct my own research.

The internet and technology are creating a new web of collective consciousness, similar to what individuals in the west call "god". I question if humanity will be able to invert into their own beings the intricacies and telepathic, communicative nature the external web of consciousness has collected. It seems that as humans mesh and intertwine their world so heavily into that of the internet world (one that lacks space and time) - that slowly and with great synchronicity the external world of consciousness and the internal world will begin to function in concert - birthing a brave new world of human understanding and compassion.

TheTransitioner is definitely a part of the collective conscious that is already actively endeavoring towards the inauguration of this new world, hopefully we can all figure out how to lend our little will to a bigger plan.

As "gardener" in others places ;=), I would like to recommend you a very, very useful tool for discussion and remarks on a text proposed by a member of a community. The text is shown on the right side, and on the left, the members can write their comments, visible by all. Comment on a previous comment is possible. After being exposed for a while, all the comments may be used to enhance the quality of the original text. A new version may be proposed. I often used this system and very enjoyed. The system was designed by a french team, but opportunitly, there is an english version. And exemples of public texts can be seen on the site, with remarks (presently, there are some texts in greek language!!)
The site adress is http://www.co-ment.net/ the english frame is set by clicking at the bottom of the main page.

I am fairly new to The Transitioner, so I don't really know how to make the best of it and where to make contributions. For a long time, I have been thinking that I have many ideas on many subjects that I know I will never act on, but which someone else might truly relate to and run with. I'm sure that everyone has these types of thoughts and I would like to see or build a space where people can put these ideas so that others can find them and possibly act on them - basically an idea clearinghouse where sharing can happen outside of the profit/scarcity model. I am voicing this here because I believe that I have finally found a community where this sort of sharing and growth is possible. Can anyone help?

Hey Maggie, this sounds to me like a really cool idea, like a basket of ideas free to share.
All the projects I would like to do, or to be done but that I'm not expert in and so, you would share it to give others the possibility to deal with it, and you can of course still have a critical / complementary point of view.

Probably a fun name to create some emulation, a short explanation and a special page or discussion place should be enough? Then you need to give some basic infos and contact to be able to see the project evolve and why not a report of the evolution of the projects?

I would love to make this happen my friend. I have discussed this idea with a friend I've known my whole life (since we were 1 year old!) and she has the same feeling. The ideas are there, they just need to find their way into the right hands. I don't have to be in control of anything, but I'm willing to spend what time I have to make it happen. If you have any ideas for a name, put them forward! I hadn't even gotten that far. LOL

I'll look into starting a discussion here on TT, and then see how we can make it grow.

Dear Maggie: This is a beautiful offer and it makes me click into some ideas I have ignited in the past, like the integral communities network and collective wisdom laboratory which are there waiting for their next spiral. I honor the work as it has come to me and want to release to the world, even if I am not able to follow the ripples.

In TheTransitioner we are working very hard, 7 days intensive from tomorrow, in the Flowplace. There you, I, Zoupic will be able to share our intentions as offers and also the need for our intentions to be fullfilled, and we will play with multiple currencies! I truly believe this is what will make our community thrive!

As for the tools to express your ideas and let them go free to find their destiny there are many, depends on what you envision. I think that publishing them in a wiki tool, an easy as wetpaint (which I used for the collective wisdom laboratory) can be a great space to hold the ideas. Then social media tools to spread the space address across the world. Spores having their own life.

Social media is about decentralizing media. No more consumers of information, we are now consumers and producers. We are social artists using the tools to express our inner realities and cohere.

Have you heard about twitter? I know you will enjoy it. Take a look and lets continue our conversation.

I truly do think that this is one option of many to assist in global sharing. It is natural for humans to share with those they care about, so now it's time for those who already know that we can and do care for all - friends and strangers - to start the sharing chaing beyond our own group or tribe. For me, the world - humans, animals and plants - are my tribe, so I am truly happy to share with all.

I don't know what "wetpaint" is but I'll find out about it and learn to use it.

I'm already on twitter. My twitter name is MMLetItGrow (based on the title of an Eric Clapton song). I'm also on lots of other networking sites and could post a link to the "free ideas" page where appropriate.


Looking forward to finding our path forward on this project.
