Do We Really Need Banks ? - from Harvard Business Review

Although not referring to free currencies, this Harvard Business Review article demonstrates how seriously considered is the need for bank system to evolve. I didn't know about M-Pesa, I would really appreciate your opinion about it, to help me better understand how it's positioned regarding money, complementary and free currencies.ThanksPemicSee More

What is my interest in collective intelligence, wisdom and consciousness? (please provide answers, even in your original language, as this is a condition to become part of this community. Names only will not be accepted)
I have a strong interest in collaborative work and communities of practice. In that frame, I want to understand more about collective intelligence and its limitations.
Living and working in a pluricultural country with a heavy historical background, I'm also interested in knowing more about collective consciousness.
About me... Share what you feel inspired to share. Need inspiration? Here are some questions: How did I arrive to TheTransitioner? What are my most essential values? What makes me get out of bed in the morning? What are my dreams? What do I want to accomplish in my life?
I dream to see the place I live -Northern Israel - becoming a recognized example of different communities collaborating for an overall objective of a seamless country. Well, that's a dream...
Now, I want effectively to spread collaborative values and methods threw concrete local projects (for companies and for municipalities) that aim to develop the region.
What are the gifts, skills and expertise I would like to share in this community?
people management
technology of information and communication
personal experience of large companies and expatriation
What are my current intentions, needs, burning questions, quests?
I know I can learn from you, but I still need to figure out how I can really support thetransitionner. Let's have a look first :)
What is my current occupation?
Freelance in ICT. http://il.linkedin.com/in/ericmariepicard/en

Welcome Eric, Thank you for your intentions and open possibilities. Have you seen our library? There are great resources to look upon that you might appreciate with your background of collaborative software and communities of practice. Specially the CI Book called 'creating a prosperous world at peace' which you can find in the library.
