What is my interest in collective intelligence, wisdom and consciousness? (please provide answers, even in your original language, as this is a condition to become part of this community. Names only will not be accepted)
Change the World? - Yes, but where to start!?
Already the next step to take might vary 180 degrees in direction depending on the general paradigm, mindset and perspective we assume.
So which way to turn, which Idea to trust?
The further we see, the firmer our path!
About me... Share what you feel inspired to share. Need inspiration? Here are some questions: How did I arrive to TheTransitioner? What are my most essential values? What makes me get out of bed in the morning? What are my dreams? What do I want to accomplish in my life?
Finishing a masters in biology and another in philosophy and economics open the horizon to many sides but didn´t quite reveal any convincing bearings. Many of the academic theories fall short in being broadly aplicable because of their lack of deep inquiry. Most obvious and precarious in economics and business. My questions about the nature of money and market mechanism remained unanswered in Unviersity but finally, indirectly got me to meet Jean-Francios Nouble at the Renaissance2 conference in Perpignan in Oct. 2009.
This is how I came to TheTransitioner.
Apart from free currencies, there are a few other areas which are close to my heart, since they will yield beneficial effects for any collective independent of current paradigms or future scenarios (not ordered to importance):
the employment of renewable energies,
the alignment of business with peronal values,
the emancipation women.

To support efforts in any of these fields is what I would like to achieve.
What are the gifts, skills and expertise I would like to share in this community?
I have recently moved to Brussels, to connect to people who share my values and already move forward.
Here I will help to foster local circles working on complementary currencies and renewable energies.
Insights from my different fields of expertise and experience will hopefully cross-benefit this community in mutual exchange.
What are my current intentions, needs, burning questions, quests?
With Jean-Luc Roux we are currently starting a working group on complimentary currencies at the Hub in Brussels, a local network of social entreprneurs with a affiliated meshwork of Hubs all over the world.
We hope to launch an integrated CC system for the members by the end of the year which will hopefully seed into the broader community.
The Flowplace would be our first choice for implementation.
From this experience I hope to foster CC systems also in local communities around renewble energy projects in Belgium and also in purely virtual meshworks like Renaissance2.
What is my current occupation?
I´m currently a volunteer for The Hub, RenErg and Renaissance2, based in Brussels, living of my savings for as long as they last, and looking for an occupation for the time thereafter (hopefully soon...)

Hi Leander. Synchronicities happen all around and I am still in awe. I spoke with Bernard Lietaer yesterday and he said -you have to connect with a friend who is implementing a mutual credit currencies for wordpress- he gave me the name, I wrote it down. Today I realized its you! Can we talk?

Hi Leander,

I get a sense of awe, wonder and release each time I read the commitment of others, like myself, in free currencies, earth and people values. Its a breath of fresh air.

I am very interested in following your work on complementary currency with Jean-Luc whom I met with JF in Brussels. I wonder if you have an opportunity to listen Jean Luc in the distinctions in between free and complementary currencies? Complementary are only one part of the Free currencies. Mainly referring to tradeable currencies?

Have you seen the flowplace lately?
