I read your profile with much interest and was excited to come across your alternative perspective on memory. This perspective brought back to mind a recent observation concerning the difference between states of consciousness : while “awake”, I can predict to some extent the short term future, but while “sleeping”, there are experiences (dreams) in which events and scenes seem to change chaotically, where this short term perspective is absent. How would this relate to the nature of memory, to the capture of my experiences to model a certain reality perspective?
I would be very interested to read your thesis, unfortunately I could not find an electronic copy. Would it be possible that you post or send one?

Thanks a lot for your comment. I would be very pleased indeed to contribute to CIRI, thinking it is time to act, and not think only. As told in my profile, my PhD was linked to neurosciences, modeling chaotic neural networks, in order to 'create' a 'forecasting memory' (ie : memory is not a recall of past but an active mechanism forecasting short future : is recognized what can be forecasted. Showing also this kind of memory maximize system's autonomy). I would therefore be really honored to be allowed to work and bring my two pennies to those fields for CIRI : neuroscience, chaos, collective behaviors, collective learning, emergent computation, ... I've already made a few conferences on collective intelligence, and I can send to you my slides.
Now, I am sure those theories should be tried at society level, for example : applying neural learning to social links, strengthening links between 'correlated' people. This is not far from 'global brain' theories, which sound relevant, I think.
Thanks in advance for telling me how to proceed to join CIRI, if I may help. I can also help to build mobile apps, and/or P2P protocols (even if it is years I've not programmed any...). I would also have liked to join your next CI seminar in Aix, but can not free myself during the dates given. I hope there will be a next one !
