- What is my interest in collective intelligence, wisdom and consciousness? (please provide answers, even in your original language, as this is a condition to become part of this community. Names only will not be accepted)
- I am presently writing an article for a conference in Europe (sept 2011) concering collective intelligence and web 2.0 with respect to higher education( i.e. University 2.0).
I am a free software movement advocate because I want all to co create horizontal knowledge assemblages (the least verticality possible)
I use wikis exclusively in my courses undergrad-graduate) because I belience we may be more creative together.
- About me... Share what you feel inspired to share. Need inspiration? Here are some questions: How did I arrive to TheTransitioner? What are my most essential values? What makes me get out of bed in the morning? What are my dreams? What do I want to accomplish in my life?
- What interesting questions! Inequity disturbs me. It disturbs me at many levels : economic, ethics, politics. (I like Rawls idea that you would construe society in ways such that you would be willing to live in any part of it). I struggle with my own opulance ( I got lucky and was born in Canada) and search for ways to help redistribute equitably. I am presently disillusioned with institutions (not that I was ever a great fan) and how we seem to be caught in single a issue accountably measure paradigm (economic).I see how this reductionist performativity is hurting my students, my collegues and myself (not to mention the rest of the planet)
- What are the gifts, skills and expertise I would like to share in this community?
- I know quite a bit about wikis and could help others if they wish to work with wikis. Same for free software.I speak English and French.
- What are my current intentions, needs, burning questions, quests?
- Purpose, to be of service, to be increasingly compassionate.

Ferananda Ibarra said… Hi Renée: I am going to be working with my beloved in France for most of march and coming back before the collective intelligence seminar. Its a wonderful seminar and I love it, specially when it involved meeting new people passionate about CI. So, we won´t meet there yet meeting JF would be like meeting me in many many ways.

Welcome to TheTransitioner Renée and YEY for web 2.0 I am very interested in the topic of your article. I have worked in elearning for a while, given classes in universities and constantly use technologies for social learning. Are you aware of the thursdays #lrnchat in twitter. As for TheTransitioner, our wiki is quite inactive yet as the technology we choose was not appropriate (dekiwiki). We would like to install an easy-to-use wiki, yet with powerful features. We like simple urls, drag/drop images rather than long file uploads, wysiwig text editing... This wiki would be to collect collective work on collective intelligence.
