What is my interest in collective intelligence, wisdom and consciousness?
There is something intrinsically natural and coherent about CIWC. I have explored and practiced CIWC partially and in different ways; it provides a landscape that fits with my being and my abilities. It is also simply a landscape I (we) need to settle in to nourish my (our) humanity. This intuition has been confirmed by the first seminar of Jean-François. I am here to be in the loop of sharing-learning-building.
About me... Share what you feel inspired to share. Need inspiration? Here are some questions: How did I arrive to TheTransitioner? What are my most essential values? What makes me get out of bed in the morning? What are my dreams? What do I want to accomplish in my life?
I feel increasingly aware of “architectures” (i.e. paradigms but not only, see CI context), of their strength, of our complex interactions. They have been part of me, I have been part of them but we have never been completely aligned. Some have lifted me to what I am today but they also ground me; I feel that we are becoming “heavy“ together, as if we have developed a sort of gravity that diverts me from reaching a true expression of my being. They have enabled me to experience well-being but they have also brought me pain. I can accept that growing discomfort or grasp with others the potentials of our time to seek a better alignment and lift ourselves up.

I have made the choice to peacefully alleviate this discomfort and seek this alignment. Thus, I strive for an intelligent consciousness that allows for a comprehension of my and our architectures, of my and our pain, of my and our humanity. I strive for a deeper appreciation, comprehension and sharing of beauty and complexity in different fields. I seek to engage integrally into the development of a landscape that we, as sovereign individuals, could embrace to align ourselves. I endeavor for this landscape to be accessible to our children.

This translates into the short term dream of fusing the deployment of CICW with the means to reasonably support my family. In the long term, I dream to extend this deployment, living, sharing, learning and building across continents. I dream to play guitar better.
What are the gifts, skills and expertise I would like to share in this community?
I can provide time and share the specifics listed below. I can also offer an evolving and transparent self.

I value and feel beholden for my sensitivities. They include an appreciation for complexity and a deep sense of unnaturalness about conflicts. What prevents from reaching a win-win or a no deal situation instead of a loss-loss? Aren't conflicts by-products of “architectures”? What does that mean concerning my vision of the world and others? I find the immersion in diversity increasingly fulfilling and feel fortunate to have had a glimpse at American, French, Dutch, Swiss, Chilean, Filipino, Japanese and Chinese cultures.

Mixed bag of other skills, including general management and project management, people development and continuous learning, a certain ability to “apprehend globally and multidimensionally” and “to envision”, some negotiation skills. I would also dare mentioning a certain skill for self-observation, even though experiences regularly remind me, here as well, how this skill will always remain a work in progress.

Mixed bag of comprehensions, including business, marketing, sales (value management: identification, creation, sharing), sciences (Engineer, Ph. D. - chemistry and multivariate data analyses), some comprehension about plants and phytochemistry, French, English, some German and Dutch, a bit of Spanish and Italian.
What are my current intentions, needs, burning questions, quests?
How to structure with others that journey into the CIWC landscape? I am working on different axes and a framework (a sort of caravan?) to exchange and learn would be very helpful. I am currently focusing my journey on:

- Exploring and comprehending “architectures“ and complexity. I am for example exploring different thinking models through the work of Edgar Morin, Rudolf Steiner, Russell Ackoff, etc.
- Developing a spiritual axis and exploring meditation.
- Developing a deeper understanding about the vegetable kingdom.
- Looking for ways to articulate a CICW landscape for specific projects (see below).
- Paying respect to my body.
What is my current occupation?
I am in a transition phase after being the CEO of a French SME specialized in botanicals extracts and actives for cosmetics. Besides the development activities mentioned above, I am committed to two projects:

1. How to catalyze well-being and consciousness through phytotherapy? Together with French and Chilean partners/friends we have been exploring the offering of phytoproducts and phytotreatments that would integrate the substance of a larger reality and a growing consciousness. We are also exploring the concept of healing centers. We have done a pre-screening of the concept and are now consolidating intentions and tasks.

2. The Complex and Integral Comprehension of a Deep Reality, of which Conscious Science is a sub-endeavor about thinking architectures.

A reminder of beauty, a reminder about my architectures.

With acknowledgement to Mushin, for his nourishing blog. It led me to this video.
With acknowledgment to David Roche and to Nic Askew.

'The second glance' from Nic Askew on Vimeo.

How do I see people? Looking beyond deformation or attraction for a second glance. A second glance to look for that deep beauty, for its potential.

How do I see myself? How do I see my own inside and outside deformations?

The tribes we lead

Originally approached from a marketing perspective, the observations and arguments of Seth Godin resonate as pertinent for TheTransitioner and its community. Here is my transcript of this interesting and fun presentation.

What we do is we try to change everything. We try to find something that needs to be changed to make big, important, permanent change.

Creating, spreading an idea as a lot behind it. We are living through and are right at a key moment of a change in… Continue

Open-source software has won the argument. Now a new threat to openness looms

“FIRST they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win.” Mahatma Gandhi probably never said these words, despite claims to the contrary, but they perfectly describe the progress of open-source software o… Continue

Another hidden and disastrous systemic effect of the rarefaction of money?

Interesting article on www.economist.com/science/displaystory.cfm?story_id=13403177
about “How poverty passes from generation to generation is now becoming clearer. The answer lies in the effect of stress on two particular parts of the brain.”

Would we all agree that the rarefaction of money is a key stress factor for the poor? If so this stress is likely to negatively affect the working memory of poor children, thus their abilities to rise above property. Another hidden and disastrous systemic… Continue
