Open diaries: 23-24th November meeting in Geneva on Diversity and Open Money

Hi all, as a pre-announcement:

on November 23rd and 24th 2009, we will held a meeting of a project group to develop DIVERSITY. A special focus will be on the new economy and new finance with a ready to use new electronic currency unit for peer-to-peer economic interaction. This meeting will take place in the new meeting facilities set up by the "resonance network" (Geneviève Morand, see www.rezonance.ch/), rue de la Muse 2 (quartier des Bains).

A core group met end of August in Wiesbaden/Germany to prepare this meeting. One of the objectives is to connect the French and the German "galaxies".

I am delegated by the University of Applied Sciences Western Switzerland (School of Management and Engineering Vaud) to support this initiative from an academic point of view. The coming days, I will post here the program and invitation. Please let me know who is interested to attend. There are no fees but sharing of the expenses.

Hi Christa, on the same theme, the transitioners could be interested by the system WIR (Swiss complementary money system http://www.wir.ch info in French, German, Italian). The system is an alternative to the Swiss official currency for over 60’000 small companies in Switzerland. This alternative currency system has been in effect for the last 75 years. I have also come across the "Money Network Alliance” (www.moneta.org)

Hi Christa, pls post the event in the event calendar. I think it will get more attention. I will also feature the blog post. This effort sounds fantastic! Pls keep us posted on the experience. In TheTransitioner network there is many committed people to create the new economy.
