Hello Dear,
How is everything with you,I picked interest on you after going through your short profile and deemed it necessary to write you immediately.I have something very vital to disclose to you,but I found it difficult to express myself here, since it's a public site.Could you please get back to me on(pauline120atta@yahoo.co.th)for the full details. Have a nice day.
Hello Ferananda and thank you for the warm welcome message. I am still finding my way around the Transitioner network and I hope to be able to contribute in many ways.
Also, I've just added a picture to my profile so you can now have an idea of what I look like :)
Thank you for invitation. I will do my best in joining the community. However, it is important for you to know that all of my articles and researches are in french. I will have to read a lot of articles and posts from your community in order to find the real translation of all qualificatives I gave to Intelligence in my posts. You may visit my blog cgcjmk.blogspot.com to have an idea, specially the glossary of the terms.
I also wish to keep contact, with you and all members.
By the way, have a wonderful Xmas and a marvelous 2013.
The link about the decision-making,, being emotional is very interesting.
I don't know if you did read the U theory of otto Scharmer but this study is going in the way of his conclusions. The necessary of connecting to our inner-self to make the best decisions. If you didn't read Otto Scharmer, i suggest you to do it. Best regards.
Well. First I look at names. To understand people, you can take their names and understand them too.
First step is finding the roots of their names which take a while. What i do is some sort of pythagorean addition with the amount of syllables and letters of the names and i begin to add them in a way that makes sense for what i'm trying to figure of the person. Most times, I reach the "ibarra" of their personalities. ;D
I love Bertrand Russell btw. I studied Philosophy of Law and Conflict resolution in San Francisco, and he is my oracle when seeking inspiration for thoughts on human rights.
I'll tell you this. The best advice ive gotten is this: Nothing is a coincidence.
That is, organize your life, and you will begin to see that its not words that make your life, but your life that creates the world. For as long as you think, you will be able to shape your destination as you please. In the end, things will line up in sequence... like numbers.
Abrazo siempre fraterno y espero uan respuesta.
The monetary system after the Great Transition is a relatively uninteresting, almost technical, discussion. We have already very solid proposals for alternatives to the Fractional Reserve Banking system.
With respect electronic money, proposals of crypto-currencies are blooming. They are mostly wrong in the vey roots. They propose crypto-coins for the global market, like an electronic gold. We do not need more money for the global casino of whatever nature. 90% of the trade will be local. Mr. Manolito, the gachupin of the shop around the corner, does not need this 124 bit secure encryption. The only issue worth discussing is a World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) approach of the meta information of the electronic money, so that all wallets can manage all electronic currencies. Its a question of interoperability. Some proposals already exist, like the Ricardian contract and the INTERNET-DRAFT Ko Fujimura XML Voucher: Generic Voucher Language.
For me, the only relevant discussion is about the Community Currencies and the Monetary System model we need to pump solidarity to the poor before the transition.
By 2050, minirobots, ultra-automation, 3D printing, self-growing materials make many local industries very efficient. DO IT YOURSELFhas now a 30% of all production (your clothes, your furniture, your tableware, your configured Electric Vehicle)
By 2050, most population has returned from big Macro-cities to medium size agro-urban conglomerates. Vertical Automated Farming controlled by bio-ICT provide local food; taking also care of recycling of water.
B.- Distribution
By 2050, intermediaries about to disappear. Robotized EV of all sizes take the teleshopping home.
C.- Finances
By 2050, all money has become crypto money. Global crypto money is only used for mayor investments. All M1 money is regional, local and even by sector (Energy, Agriculture, etc). Payments done through the phone. Most loans are local, associated to local interests, and raised as P2Pcloud-funding.
D.- Democracy
By 2050, most of the GDP is local, so that Gross Domestic Wealth discussions engage now everybody. eDemocracy has multiplied citizens participation in policy to 10% of their time; eDemocracy and Social Networking have become undistinguishable.
THE GREAT TRANSITION
The means for the Great Transition (the way the New Economics Foundation names it) will, at the end, be political. A party o parliamentary coalition will need to win elections at each country to make it become law with full democratic legitimacy.
In most countries, the Great Transition will require a constitutional change. A referendum will need to be formulated and won.
It will take some time for the current "Indignados", or OWS, or similar movements, to give birth for such a structured party or parliamentary representation and fuel it until parliamentarian victory.
First of all, thank you very much for this invitation to share ideas. Normally, I wait prudently to understand the community I am joining to dear before expressing any first opinion. Blame Ferananda for my audacy.
LOCALISATION OF ECONOMY
By 2050 the tendency to globalization has turned into a tendency to localization. This will have the principle of subsidiarity at its heart. In political terms, subsidiarity is widely accepted as meaning that everything is best decided and implemented closest to the people who will be affected. In economical terms it means that by 2050 the appropriate size for industries, resilience and permeability towards have reversed the economies of scale to make local much more efficient.
Conditions/drivers
By 2050 petrol has become extremely scarce and can only be used in special cases (Space Rockets, manufacturing of some materials); transport of heavy goods is very expensive. Sea transport is done by kite-vessels.
By 2050 ITERis still not operational for mass production, electricity is also very expensive, except electricity produced by local renewables or micro-renewables; long distance earth transport of heavy goods is very expensive even for Electric Vehicles (trains).
Some dramatic climate change disasters (Venice under the waters?) have finally made mandatory a tax on all products that includes all life-cycle costs, including waste and recycling. Recycling cannot be done in the third world.
Political demand for more equality pushes towards gains in local control.
What remains global
some industrial productions (chips, pharmaceutics, large solar air-globes) remain global or continental (EV motor-wheels, large kite sea transport vessels, electronic instrumentation)
Thank you for your interest in the astrology. To answer your question the astrology changes radically the idea that you have about the time and space. First you understand the time is just another dimension of space and then you understand that the space is not only quantified but, above all, qualified. Any space-time is qualified by the position of the observer and the energies going around in this place. Then you realize the diferent layers of the reality are fractals, from the most material realm to the most spiritual, you have the same patterns repeatinq at each level. You understand as well that any entity (person, cat, nation, music band...) is qualified according to the configuration of energies at the time of birth. It is so huge that it would take me hours to explain this correctly, so ask me any question and I will try to answer precisely and clearly. You can find me on Skype at florianventura. Anytime you want. Best regards. Florian Ventura.
Wikipedia (In october 2010, his essay, Time for Outrage! (original French title: Indignez-vous!), was published in an of 6,000 copies (ISBN 978-1455509720 ). It has sold more than 3.5 million copies worldwideand has been translated into Swedish, Basque, Catalan, Italian,German.Greek, Portuguese, Spanish,Croatian, Hebrew, and Korean.Translations into Japanese, Hungarian, and other languages are planned. In the United States, The Nation magazine's March 7–14, 2011 issue published the entire essay in English.
The name was just expressing peoples feelings when Puerta del Sol was occupied in 2011.
Then it came Occupy Wall Street.
Other names are becoming more popular: 15-M (for the Date), Real Democracy NOW (Spanish: Democracia Real YA) or Youth Withouth a Future (Spanish: Juventud Sin Futuro).
My choice would be DESPERADOS (so outraged that you go outlaw), as that many people are thrown to desperation.
Thousand apologies for ignoring you for a long time - not intended, just that I was submerged in deliverables. Communities are very absorbing. I have learned that unless one becomes part of the problem one cannot see the solution - 'be the change' so to speak.
My largest group so far is about 400 ;-) (in a room); my largest prototypes are whole neighbourhood/town scale 50,000+ ... anyway, you are quite right about 'sense making' - I also think this is the core aspect that makes groups coalesce into meaningful entities with a life of their own (from within)
I have updated what we do in siriti.net - redefining this ever more as a co-working platform. We don't and can't yet know what form these collaboration approaches will work. It is an experimental area, and everyone is free to try their own approach, share and carry on. In a way, that freedom is the greatest appeal of doing things collaboratively.
Scaffolds: I am starting a scaffold currently called "speriens" (the mammoth-step) - The vision of Speriens is that diverse people can come together and be surprised by the outcomes which may result from their own interaction, when we remove pre-defined categories of thinking, ideas or previous experiences - and randomly mix capacities and experiences, engaging around things that matter to the participants, and not on abstract ideas or theories.
This matter only if you sense that there are problems and opportunities beyond what your own conscious view point can grasp (a mammoth in your context). I.e. if you think that there may be something in what you are already doing that could benefit from a mixed and richer co-working / participatory environment.
The overall process/structure is based on local groups/co-working groups shaping such unifying meanings (not abstract ideas or blueprints)
My experience is that people have no clue of what they really want and want will they make them feel good, yet if one just allows them to come together and is able to create "free spaces", then co-working is a natural outcome. That is why 'scaffolds' may be an appropriate designation (technically) - for it is neither a structure, or ingredient of the mix, just the "cooking pot" for the stew to take shape.
The second reason why scaffolds is interesting as metaphor is that it seeks not to oust what is there already. But to create a new "eye" or "strange attractor" that creates initially tension with any system and leads to a deeper perspective, renewed shared meaning, sense of purpose that gradually permeates the original structure.
About the 900. I must ask what steps has the group taken so far. How do you go about involving everyone in shaping these steps? Personally, I believe that the only thing that changes people and shapes groups is doing. Unless one endeavours to achieve something very specific and within reach of one's own powers, one is inadvertently stealing the soul of the group - too much abstraction does this. Ideals and good intentions displace the need to act and offer an escape from engagement.
For example, I see on this site many comments about new currencies. I presume then that several people follow this topic. For them the next step would be - create one. Start now, define the next step, and worry not about the whole blue print of the thing. It is too hard to see the mammoth, take a stride, follow the scent. But get on with it. Accept failure is going to be part of the process, and this will be the salt and the wounds that make the group to share a meaning. A step at a time.
I'm here to discuss about collaborative culture within a knowledge company. How to optimize the way people are working and exchanging information? I'm working for a enterprise social network project that should bring new way of sharing and collaborating internally! And to take the most of this project, we need to make evolving some aspects (mainly cultural ones) of the company. Really passionating by the way... ;)

Wow. That is a welcome!
Let me start with the most simple of your battery of questions: "INDIGNADOS"
If I am not mistaken the name was take from the Manifest of Stephan Hessel, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/St%C3%A9phane_Hessel, called Indignez-vous!
Wikipedia (In october 2010, his essay, Time for Outrage! (original French title: Indignez-vous!), was published in an of 6,000 copies (ISBN 978-1455509720 ).
