Hi Eric, we had a Hub-Brussels meeting and we develop a Hun alpha group to test a open currencies system. We would love to have access to dev.flowplace and create our own circle within the dev plateform. In return we could inform you with all the buggs that we will meet a long the test. What do you think?

Hi Jean-Luc,

I think it would be a great idea for Hub folks to be pioneering in the flowplace. I have had a few conversations with Stan, but haven't had the space to keep the connection as strong as I would like.

I'm trying to allocate as much of my own time as possible on developing the flowplace so that as a tool it is easy to use and powerful so that groups like the Hub can simply create circles and start playing with all sorts of currencies.

Dear Eric, I saw Stan Stalnaker - The Hub co-founder - as I am a board member of the Hub - Brussels I am leading a group to develop open currencies for the Hub and its members. I have pu an intention on the flowplace but I haven't yet received any feedback.Should we start a open currencies project based on the flowplace or another plateform like the VEN? What we would achieve is the following :
nitial intentions:
to strengthen the community by creating mutual exchanges, making the Hub-network more beneficial to its members
to broaden the diversity of services offered to members (by other members), by creating an interactive and dynamic platform of services from members-to-members
to allow members to better promote their talents and competencies within the network
to encourage members to give services to The Hub, and to allow the Hub to “remunerate” services given by members
valuing the peoples/members input beyond what can be expressed in €
others?

Other intentions:

to become independent from the financial state of the individual members and the external context
introduce, sensitize and practice complementary currency to/with the members, be a learning-laboratory, where  members can learn about this crucial aspect of our social interaction
use complementary currencies to exchange services between Hubs internationally, between Hub and Hub World, between members across different currencies, …
reputation money, as peer-to-peer evaluation between members
Any help, suggestions, ideas proposals on how to proceed are more than welcome. With warm regards

Robin, excellent questions! Your analysis is fully correct looking at the piece from this side of the paradigm shift. You see all the flaws in it, the ways in which it describes things from the "wrong" perspective, one that doesn't seem to recognize the deeper consciousness shifts that are taking place. And there are also things factually wrong with it too, the first being that I'm not an economist as it claims!

But this piece is sooooo much closer to being right than anything else the main-stream has put out that I am very excited about. It points in the direction of paradigm shift. It points in the direction of self-empowered currency issuance. The fact that it even includes the words "open source currency" or "currency alphabet," is like a crack in a previously impenetrable wall, that wall being "Wall Street" of the Journal.

Thank you for sharing this video. It is really important to have those snapshot from the media to see emerging ideas and way of thinking.
Although, I feel a little bit unease with this video. More precisely I don't find the ideas that legitimate open money -counsiousness ... - Maybe I should take another look at it but I felt that open money was described as something 'cool' that will permit you to 'keep money for yourself' ( instead of giving it to the fed (which as suspect to be a book emisaire here to allow us to keep things for ourselves)). The most difficult thing to understand is how this came become something sustainable ? because it is democratic ? I feel like this word 'democratic' is a little bit demagogic.... What's your feelings about that ? Does all this communication goes in the right direction ? How this will keep us into counsiousness ? Yes there will be a million of currencies, but is it the crutial point ? sorry for for all those question, I hope this is only the fear of the unknown, which is natural in a transitioning world :).

The best 5mins piece I ever saw on what's new. It feels strange to see other people than us now say "There will be millions of currencies"! A year ago it looked like a silly idea. Now it's getting mainstream.
